1. About this policy
This policy explains how DACSO DIGITAL LTD uses cookies and similar storage/access technologies on dacso.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. Categories
- Essential: needed to provide requested functions, remember privacy choices, protect the website or operate it securely.
- Statistics: used to understand visits, pages, interactions and enquiries so we can improve the site.
- Marketing: the consent interface currently provides this category, but DACSO does not currently use marketing cookies on the audited site. If that changes, we will update this policy and the consent configuration before enabling them.
Our current configuration requires the Statistics choice before Google Analytics cookies are set.

Cookie lifetime is separate from the retention period of Analytics event/user data in our Privacy Policy.
4. Consent and choices
On a fresh visit, the banner offers Preferences, Reject and Accept All. Preferences provides separate Statistics and Marketing choices. A persistent Cookie Preferences control allows a visitor to change a choice later.
Continuing to browse, silence or inactivity is not treated as consent. Before a choice, optional analytics/marketing consent signals default to denied. Reject keeps consent-requiring technologies disabled.
Our clean-profile testing found no Google Analytics cookies before a choice or after Reject. Google Tag may nevertheless load and send cookieless consent-state or technical measurement requests while the optional consent signals remain denied. Those requests do not mean that the _ga analytics cookies have been set.
DACSO does not currently rely on the statistical-purposes exception to bypass its existing Statistics-consent choice. If the legal/technical basis changes, we will reassess the configuration and update this policy before relying on a different approach.
5. External requests
The site can make requests to services that receive technical information such as IP address, browser headers, page address and referrer. These can include:
- Google Analytics/Tag according to the consent configuration described above;
- Google Calendar when a visitor opens the booking link;
- WhatsApp/Meta when a visitor opens WhatsApp contact;
- payment providers when a customer chooses their service;
- font/icon providers used for presentation; and
- GitHub Pages when an external portfolio concept demonstration is opened or loaded.
Not every external request stores or accesses information on the device. A third party’s own privacy information applies to its service.
6. Browser controls
Browsers can block or delete cookies, but blocking Essential cookies may affect requested functions. Browser controls supplement the site’s Cookie Preferences control.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when technologies, providers or legal requirements change.
